I always strive to create classic and timeless images that my customers can put up on their walls to love and cherish forever. At the beginning of the Covid-19 Global Pandemic I had entered a contest called the "Creative Image Awards". Each image was carefully evaluated based on the following criteria;
Technical Soundness, Creativity, Connection, Emotion & Story Telling, Post Production & Use of Editing, Techniques, Wow Factor & Overall Impact and Superior Photographic Technique. Images graded above 74 were also given Merit Awards. I entered nine of my images into the following categories: Newborn Portrait, Maternity Portrait and Family Portrait.
All of the entries that were submitted were beautiful - I'm sure it was difficult for the judges. The results came in and I'm the very proud winner of two Silver Merit Awards, three Bronze Merit Awards AND two of those images placed 3rd! Each of the nine images also received a merit award! The next round of the contest will have a more in depth critique for participants, live judging, more sponsorship, bigger awards and even an awards ceremony and gala.... I can't wait!
